As part of the revitalization of the City Place Mall, a center for shopping, arts and entertainment was recently reconstructed. Montgomery Blair High School, located in Silver Spring, is known nationwide for its Communication Arts Program and its Math, Science, and Computer Science Magnet Program. The magnet program produces a large number of finalists and semi-finalists in many notable academic competitions such as the Intel Science Search.
